Travel day(s)

The trip from Maine to South Dakota was mostly uneventful. A few things have happened to the motohome, but nothing very bad. The drive out of Maine up to I-90 in MA was busy. I-90 however was a parking lot. It took over an hour to travel the 11 miles - as I said a parking lot. Other than very windy conditions, many hills (some around two miles going up and seems like very few down) the trip was nice. And should I mention hot, in the 90's.

Our route to get to our destination was: 95, 495, 290, 90 (as I mentioned a parking lot), 84, 81, 80 (overnight in Penn), continuing on 80, 76, 71, 270, 70, 74 (overnight in Iowa), back to 80, 680, 29, and 90. Ohio, Indiana, and Iowa miles and miles of corn and soy. We finally arrive at our first camping destination Sep 2, at around 7:00 PM (mountain time zone), just outside of the Badlands National Park. As a matter of fact, we had to enter the park to get to our camping site. Did I mention miles of corn and soy?

It is just after 8:00 AM (MT) and we are on our way to hike in Badlands NP, South Dakota. We'll have pictures later on today.

Great that you two are having fun. Everything here in paradise is good so far. Hope that Ike doesn't come here. Looking forward to seeing you in October.

It sounds incredible! AND your pictures give me an idea of how beautiful it is. It brings back memories of mountain goats climbing the hills in Alaska and seeing the geological formations in the Grand Canyon. Pictures can not capture it. I am excited you are having a great time. Keep that motor home on the road.
